Common Questions

What is Lovely Hollow Farm?

We are a U-Pick flower and pumpkin farm in the Treasure Valley, located in Canyon County - near the Sunnyslope Wine Trail on the famous Chicken Dinner Road. As an agritourism farm, we are open seasonally for visitors to come pick a bucket of flowers, pumpkins, and attend other special events throughout the season.

Come explore our field of blooms, pumpkin patches, and special events throughout the summer & fall!

How does it work?

Lovely Hollow Farm is a u-pick flower farm. We are open to the public on specific days, check our calendar for details.

Once you get to the farm our staff will give you a quick tutorial for cutting your flowers for lasting blooms. You purchase your containers, mason jars or buckets, then wander through the fields picking your favorite flowers.

After you pick your flowers you can relax in the grass, enjoy some food or drinks from the vendors we have onsite and listen to some live music.

We don't typically charge an admission, just ask that you purchase flowers, and support the local food/drink vendors at the farm.

What are the flower picking prices?

The 2024 flower prices are as follows:

  • Mason Jar - $27
  • Half Gallon - $32
  • Gallon - $37

The mason jar/buckets are included in the price. We have scissors available for you to use.

Is there an entrance fee to the farm?

For our typical open days during the season, there is no separate entrance fee! Your support through purchasing flowers and goods from our amazing local vendors onsite helps keep the farm running. We encourage all visitors to enjoy the experience and support the small businesses that make the farm so special and enjoyable.

Please note there are some special events throughout the season that may have an entrance fee. These will always be specified on our events calendar, social media posts, and in our Facebook events - be sure to check those for details.

We also want to remind everyone that Lovely Hollow Farm is a working farm, not a public park. We kindly discourage loitering—our focus is on creating a welcoming space for paying customers who are supporting the local businesses here, including Lovely Hollow. We thank you for your understanding and support!

Can I have a photoshoot at the farm?

We love sharing the farm with the community and photoshoots are a great way to do that! We do, however, require a reservation for photoshoots. You can reserve your time slot here. Please be aware a photographer is not provided. The link above is a self-serve booking option.

A few rules about photoshoots on the farm:

  • Your photoshoot time slot is self-serve. No one else should be there during your time slot. We may be there somewhere working, but we will always give you privacy and stay out of your way.
  • Please only one clientele family/senior/couples per 60 min.

  • Please respect your time slot as the slot before and/or after you could be booked. If you decide to pick flowers, this also needs to be done during your slot, as we want to guarantee exclusivity to everyone booking.
  • Be aware that this is a working farm. Agriculture is messy, dirty, and unpredictable. There could be mud, irrigation, dirt, bugs, smoke, wind, rain, storms, dust, water etc. at the farm during your photo shoot. These conditions can also affect the way the flowers look. The farm is not grown for photoshoots. We do not guarantee the farm to be picture perfect. We do not guarantee certain types of flowers for your photoshoot.
  • We will happily reschedule you if there are unpredictable natural conditions. We will not reschedule or refund you if you are not satisfied.
  • Please scout the site during our normal open hours if you are unsure if you want to book here.

Can I take pictures with my phone?

Absolutely! We joke all the time that Lovely Hollow is an Instagram farm. We don't mind at all if you're snapping away on your phone or small camera.

Its when the big professional cameras, reflectors, props come out, disrupting other customers and the peaceful tone of the farm. That is when we ask you to book a photoshoot timeslot. Check out our photoshoot page for more information.
